Related Documents: Drawings and general provisions of Contract, including General and Supplementary Condieions and Division 1 Specifications Sections, apply to this Section. l3 OWNER-FURNISHED TESTING AND INSPECTION A. Description: The Owner will select and employ CMTS, as the Owner's Inspection and Testing Agency (OTA) where necessary to c�nduct the tests end inspections as required within the specifications. B. Owncr'a Inspection and Testing Agency (OTA)ahall conduct testing and inspection services, intetpret them, evaluate thc results for cortyiliance with the specifications, and report I.he findings ta the Owner's Representative, A/B, Contractot, and local building authoriry as specifed. Testing end inspxtion services which arc performed shall be in accord�nce with applicable swiAard methods of ASTM or other procedura specified. The Inspection and 'Cesting Agency will support overtime, second shift, and out of area activity as acheduled by the Contractor. C. The OTA 'shall report noncompliana with apecifications and drawings through the Nonconformance Report. Immediately notify Owner's Authoriud Representative. D. Failure of the OTA to detect any defective work or materials dudng such inspections or tests shall not prevent later rejection when such defects ere discovered, nor shall it obligate the Owner's Representative for final acceptance.
