DOGING FUP'L DOCK - TRBNCH DRAIN JULY 1994 <br /> E. Rejected Work: The OTA shall have the right to reject materials and worlananship <br /> which are detective. Rejected worlananship shall be satistactorily corrected and <br /> rejected materials shail be removed from the job site without charge to the Owner. If <br /> the Contractor does not correct such rejected work within a reasonable time, fized by <br /> written notice, the Owner may correct same and charge the ezpense to the Contractor. <br /> F. The Inspector �s not authorized to do the following: <br /> 1. Release, revoke, alter, or enlarge on requircments of Contract Documents. <br /> 2. Approve or accept any portion of the Work, except az specified for soil <br /> conditions (i.e. lxaring capacities, etc.). <br /> 3. Perfortn any duties of the Contracror. <br /> 1.4 CONTRACTOR PAYMENT FOR INSPECTION AND TESTING <br /> A. Contractor may be back charged and payment may be withheld according to General <br /> Conditions for. <br /> L Tating of repaired work and tuting new work replacing rejected work. <br /> 2. Costs or time, uavel, and related expense if w•ork is not ready to be tested or <br /> inspected at time requested by Contractor. <br /> 3. Should it be coiuidered necessary or advisable by the Owner at any time <br /> befare final acceptana of the entire Work to mal:e an ezamination of Work <br /> already completed by removing or tearing out ttie same, the Cantractor shall <br /> on request prompdy Pomish all ncces:ary facilitia, labor, and materiaL If <br /> such Work is found to be defxtive in any respect due to fault of the <br /> Contractor or his subcontractor, they shall defray all expenses of such <br /> examinations and of satisfactory reconstn�ction. However, if such Work is <br /> found to meet the requirements of the Contact, the additional cc�st of labor and <br /> material necasarily involved in the examination and replacement shall be paid <br /> by the Owner. <br /> 4. Costs of any tating which is required solely for thc convenience of Contractor <br /> in his scheduling uwl perfomiance of Work shall be bome by the Contractor. <br /> S. Costs for verificalion tating of work dane without prior notice, with imptoper <br /> supe�vision, or contwry to construction practiu:, and �or testing of materials <br /> for which mill reports are required but not furnished shali be bome by the <br /> Contracror <br /> 1.5 SUIiMITTALS <br /> A.
