When satisfactory relationships betwan thra-day and 28-day strengths, seven-day <br /> and 28 day strengths, and 14 day and 28-day strengths have ban established an <br /> approved, lhe thra-day, seven-day and 14 -day test results may be used as an <br /> indication of the 28-day strengths. If the <br /> tests for any day do not mcet the requirements specified above, the Engincer may <br /> order the Contractor to remove and rcplace all pavement placed duting that day, at <br /> no additional cost to the owner. <br /> 3.5 CONCRETE PLACEMENT: <br /> A. Comply with requirementa of Division 3 for mixing and placing concrete, and as <br /> herein specified. <br /> B. Do not place concrete until subbase and forms have ban checked for line and grade. <br /> Moisten aubbase if required to ptovide uniform dampened condition at time wncrete <br /> is pteced. Do not place concrete around manholes or other shucmres until they are <br /> at required finish olevation and alignment. <br /> B. Place concrete using methods which prcvent segregation of mix. Consolidate concrete <br /> along face of forms end adjacent to transverse joints wid� intemal vibrator. Keep <br /> vibrAtor a�vay from joint assembli�s, reinforcement, or side fotms. Consolidate with <br /> care to prevent dislocation of reinforcing, dowels, and joi.nt devices. <br /> C. Deposit and spread concrete in a wntinuous operation between transversc joints as iar <br /> a� possible.
