OEING FUEL DOCK - TRENCH DRAIN )ULY 1994 <br /> A. immediately after the finishing operations have been competed and approved, the <br /> entire surface of the newly-placed concrete shall be cured. The concrete shall not be <br /> IeR exposed for more than 1/2 hour after completion of finishing operations. The <br /> entire surface of the pavement shall be aprayed unifocmly with white pigmented <br /> curing compound immediately after the finishing af the surface and before the set of <br /> the concrete has taken place, the curing ahall be applied by mechanical sprayers <br /> undet pressure at the rate of one gallon to not more than 150 aquare fcet. The curing <br /> • compound shall be of such character that the film will harden 30 minutes after <br /> application. Should the film become damaged from any cause with the required <br /> curing period the damaged pottions shall be repaired immediately with additional <br /> compound. <br /> 3.14 !SURFACE TOLERANCE � <br /> A. Extreme care shall be exercised in all phrses of the operation to aasure the pavement <br /> will meet the specified tolerances. Vertical deviation from established grade shall not <br /> excad plus or minus 0.03 foot at any point. Surface amoothnesa deviation shall not <br /> exceed 1/4 inch form a 16-foot straightedge in any direction, including placement <br /> along and spanning any pavementjoint or edge. <br /> 3.15 ANTISPALLING TREATMENT: <br /> A. Apply compound to concrete surfaces no sooner than 28 days after placement at <br /> manufacturer's recommended application rates. <br /> 3.16 OTHER: <br /> A. Repair or rcplace broken or defective concrete, as directed. <br /> B. Enginar will detertnine when the pavement ahall be opened to construction traffic. <br /> The pavement will not be opened to traffic until test apecimens molded and cured in <br /> accordance with ASTM C31 have attained a fleaunl strength of S50 pounds per <br /> square inch when tested in accordance with qSTM C78. If such test are not <br /> conducted, the pavement shall not be opened to tra�c until 14 days after the concrete <br /> was placed. Prior to opening to tra�c, Contractor ahall clean the pavement of curing <br /> material, curing stains, and all other markings. <br /> C.
