All utility facilities shall be landscaped or otherwise screened to ossure compatibility with surrounding properties. An existing landscape area between the proposal end the street front will be used to buHer the base of the monopole. 2. All utilities and communication facilities shall be installed underground or within structurcs to the greatest extent practical in order to maximize safety and minimize visual and noise impacts upon surrounding properties. It is necossary to Ixate a communication tower and assocfate antennas above ground. Existing communication ground equipment will remain within the buildings occupied by the Department ol TranspoAation. New communication equipment will be located at the base of the monopole. The monopole will be fenced to protect the general public. 3. Communication towers and water storage tanks shall be designed so as to be the lowest height possible to adequately serve the nceds of the utility.
