Placement and screening of refuse disposal areas must be provided <br /> per Section 39.080 of the Zoning Code. <br /> 11. Rooftop mechanical equipment, including vents, must be screened <br /> per Section 39.160 of the Zonina Code. <br /> 12. The Police Department ha� the following security recommendations: <br /> a. The perimeter doors and doors into office should be double <br /> cylinder deadbolts or lockinq crashbar. On solid core doors <br /> opening to outsi�e, also pin hinges. <br /> b. Store front glass doors need locking case bolts top and <br /> bottom; maximum security deadbolts should be 1-3/4 inch <br /> throw and 3/4 inch laminated steel. <br /> c. Place elevators on timers (with electronic push button <br /> override for tenants) for limited access to offices after <br /> hours <br /> d. A monitored fire and intrusion alarm system zoned for each <br /> entity should be provided. To provide protection in case of <br /> armed robbery, include remote panic buttons and/or foot trip <br /> if using customer counter. <br /> e. If offices will be handling cash, an actual money safe <br /> should ba installed (for next day receipts only) . Seismic <br /> detectors and passive infrared alarm sensors should also be <br /> installed in the room. <br /> h. Metal security bay doors can be secured with 3/8" <br /> case-hardened steel hasps or chain and padloaks with 1/2" <br /> case-hardened steel shackles. <br /> i. The more office windows that are visible to the parking <br /> area, the safer the area is from assaults and thefts. <br /> j. Local fire and intrusion alarm system (2oned for each <br /> entity) is recommended f�r the game room and sport <br /> facilities, if and when planned for. <br /> k. Mailboxes and laundry rooms should be centrally located ,in <br /> highly visible and well lit areas. <br /> 1. The development premises must be clearly identified by <br /> address at the street entrance, and each building block must <br /> be clearly identified so as to be visible and legible from <br /> the access road or fire lane and parking lots. <br /> During the final stages of construction, please contact Dick <br /> Thornberry, Crime Prevention OfPicer at 259-0416 for further <br /> security recommendations. <br /> 8 <br />
