The tournament will take place in July, <br /> 2004 in Everett, Lynnwood, Marysville and Monroe. <br /> Ten (10)of the 25 fields needed for the tournament are located in Everett's Kasch Park (6 fields) and Phil <br /> Jackson Park (4 fields). Six ( 6) Everett Hotels are committed to 363 rooms per night for a total of 2,541 <br /> room nights for the week,the largest hotel block of any of the cities represented in the tournament. The <br /> direct economic impact to Everett hotels will be$124,915 and the direct spending by teams, families and <br /> guests while in Everett will be$1.2 million. <br /> RECOMMENDATION (Exact action requested of Council): Authorize the Mayor to sign the Agreement <br /> between the City of Everett and the National Softball Association to allow use of the fields in Kasch and Phil <br /> Jackson Parks for the 2004 Girl's Fastpitch Softball World Series Tournament from July 18, 2004 to July 25, <br /> 2004. <br /> 17 <br />
