14 <br /> OP <br /> /1%"47wiiiiw <br /> osv....a <br /> } f? 7.` r <br /> CITY OF EVERETT <br /> PLANNING COMMISSION <br /> RESOLUTION NO. e o.,-� '/ <br /> A Resolution Recommending City Council <br /> Approve an Amendment to the Comprehensive Plan <br /> Map from Multiple Family (1.7) With An Allowed <br /> Density Range of 30 to 50 Dwelling Units Per Acre <br /> to Multiple Family (1.8) With Unlimited Density <br /> and to Rezone the Area From R-4 to R-5 Multiple Family, <br /> On a Property Located East of Rockefeller Avenue <br /> Between 26th Street and a Point North of <br /> Everett Avenue, The Zlab Rezone <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Everett adopted a new Comprehensive Plan in August, 1994, in <br /> conformance with the Washington State Growth Management Act; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Growth Management Act, codified as Chapter 36.70A, allows for <br /> comprehensive plans to be amended on an annual basis; and <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Everett initiated its 2004 annual comprehensive plan <br /> amendment process in July, 2004, which included consideration of Land Use Map <br /> amendments and rezone applications initiated by property owners; and <br /> WHEREAS, Mr. Zlab submitted an application to amend the Comprehensive Plan land <br /> use designation from Multiple Family (1.7) with an allowed density range of 30 to 50 <br /> dwelling units per acre to Multiple Family (1.8) with unlimited density and a rezone from <br /> R-4 to R-5 (see attached map, Exhibit "A") for a property located east of Rockefeller <br /> Avenue between 28th Street and a point north of Everett Avenue; and . <br /> WHEREAS, the Planning Commission held two public hearings on the matter on <br /> February 15, 2005 and continued it to March 1, 2005 at which time they continued <br /> public testimony and heard applicant and staff presentations and considered the various <br /> aspects of the proposal; and <br /> _1_ 7 <br /> - 1 - <br />
