<br /> The Everett Public Library maintains and adds to a collection of early Everett and Snohomish
<br /> County history. Started as a small bi-centennial project in 1974, the collection now includes
<br /> more than 20,000 photographic images, oral history interviews, film,video, and manuscripts.
<br /> Much focus to date has involved the preservation of photographs and moving images, as well
<br /> as oral history,but the collection also includes rare manuscripts that presently need attention.
<br /> None of this manuscript material is currently in the library's catalog.
<br /> The Everett Public Library has paid for all preservation work done on these materials to date.
<br /> This work includes making photocopies, storing the originals in archival boxes, and providing
<br /> index access to at least some of the manuscripts. The library has also long had a budget for
