Started as a small bi-centennial project in 1974, the collection now includes
more than 20,000 photographic images, oral history interviews, film, video, and manuscripts.
Much focus to date has involved the preservation of photographs and moving images, as well
as oral history, but the collection also includes rare manuscripts that presently need attention.
None of this manuscript material is currently in the library's catalog.
The Everett Public Library has paid for all preservation work done on these materials to date.
This work includes making photocopies, storing the originals in archival boxes, and providing
index access to at least some of the manuscripts. The library has also long had a budget for
9 of 25 4
r
