ET also connects in Mukilteo with the <br /> Washington State Ferry(WSF) system's service between Mukilteo and Clinton. <br /> Section V: Activities in 2004 <br /> Several major activities were continued in 2004. At the regional level, significant staff time was <br /> dedicated to the coordination of activities with Sound Transit's regional express transit service. <br /> Staff resources were committed to numerous interagency committees on planning, fares, <br /> marketing, accessibility and customer service issues for the bus routes connecting Everett with the <br /> Puget Sound region. <br /> After several consecutive quarters of reduced revenues from sales tax, and increased demand on <br /> para-transit Everett Transit implemented fixed route service reductions in February, May and <br /> August. Most reductions were applied to weekend service and some less productive routes. The <br /> fixed route system was reduced overall by about 14% less than 2003 service levels. In September, <br /> Everett Transit,through Proposition 1, was authorized by voters to increase the dedicated transit <br /> sales tax from three tenths of one percent to 6 tenths of one percent. The increase became <br /> effective January 1, 2005. With the promise of additional revenue, in November 2004, Everett <br /> Transit began restoring service previously reduced due to diminished revenue since 2001. <br /> In 2004 Everett Transit addressed the Washington State Department of Transportation's <br /> Transportation Policy Objectives through the following action strategies: <br /> - - 5 <br /> :18 <br />
