I
! i . `a
P
This project lies within the Pigeon Creek#1 drainage basin. Much public and private
time, effort, and money has gone into improving the water quality in this creek. The City
• also has redevelopment standazds which call for stormwater runoff to beeated,to the
maximum extent practicable, when exiscing projects redevelop. A wetpond should be
provided to treat stormwater runoff all pavement associated with this project. If a
wetpond lazge enough to meet City standards is nat achievable due to spatial limitations
on the site, the design of the pond should maximize the volume provided in a vebeta'ed
cell,a wetvault with a minimum volume per City standazds should be provided upstream
of the pond for sediment removal, and roof-top runoff should be kept separate from
pavement runoff in order to maximize the treatment efficiency of the wetpond.
A Hydraulics Project Approval fromie State Department of Fish and Wildlife may be
required for this project due to its location within the Pigeon C:eek#1 drainage basin. If
an HPA was required, more stringent detention and stormwater treatment requirements
than the City would impose could be placed on the project as a condition of the HPA.
The Department of Fish and Wildlife should be contacted to determine whether or not an
HPA is required for this site. A copy of the HPA or a letter from the Department of Fish
and Wildlife stating that an E-IPA is not needed should be included along with the plans
for Public Works review.
,,:,;
:. :;.
.::_.:
;;`'
g:WamlJane\wordpa5929ew
