All references refer to thf: 1997 Uniform
Building Code, as amended by the State of Washington and/or Washington 3tate Ene:gy Code
1997 Edition, unless stated otherwise.
In order for the processing of your application to continue, it will be necessary to provide the
Building Division with two complete nw sets of drawings retleciing the corrections
requested.
The plans indicate the office bu 9ing as being a separate building (Bldg. "O"). If
this is the intention, then there would be a 2-hr. area separation required. A section
throueh this wall would be required to assure that it would meet aU of the area
separation requirements (UBC 504.6). It seems possiUle that there is no need for
an area separation or even occupancy separation. If this is the case, then the plans
should be revised accordingly. -
2. The travel distance from the center area of the 2nd level of Buitding A exceeds the
250 ft. limit set in UBC 1004.2.5.
The hallway on the upper floor of Building B, between storage units 421, 423, 425,
427 and 428, 429, 430, 431 exceNds the 20ft. maximum set in UBC 1004.2.6.
4. The live load for which the upper level was designed to support (125 ps is
required to be posted throuhout with durable metal signs iocared in conspicuous
locations. This requi:ement should be on the construction documents.
5. Sheet 6/6 should be revised so that the notes and details indicate thc construction
design and methods of the Rib • Roof tloor system.
0[UI PI.SCAlItiTR`\IILLER'Rdl W F.0. a\i @yl
z
CITY OF EVERETT• 32C0 Cedar Sfreet • Everetl WA 98201 •(425) 257-8800 • Fax (425) 257-8856
