Detailed drawings in accordance with City Design and Consrruc[ion <br />Standards shall be su6mitted to the Public Works Department showing <br />site parking layout, landscaping, utilities and storm drainage. Public <br />Works Department approval of theae draWings is required prior to any <br />permits being issued. All ioprovements shall be completed and approval <br />warxauted before the Occupancy Permit is issued. <br />2. T'ne proposed project must comply with the sign category requirements as <br />specified in Section 36.170 A of the Everett Zoning Code. <br />3. The buildings should be designed to accommodate recycling. <br />Opportunities for recycling al�inum, glass, newspaper, corrugated <br />containers, computer paper, and high and low grade office paper should <br />be as convenient as throwing them out. Space should be provided to <br />accommodute the storage of these materials both inside the buildings <br />and at a centralized location(s) outside of the buildings. The <br />applicant may want to consider including space in the design of the <br />huilding to locate a baler to handle recyclables. This is especially <br />important in grocery stores where a large volume of corrugated <br />containers is typically produced. The applicant might also consider <br />construction of a worm bin for handle orgaaic wastes. <br />4. During the construction/landscaping phase of the building, the <br />Department of Ecology encourages the builder to use compost and <br />products mude from recycled materials wherever possible. Compost can <br />be used as a soil amendment in landscaping, as a mulch over newly <br />planted beds, and F.r erosion control. Use of products containing <br />recycled materials include parking lot bumper stops, park and picnic <br />benches, landscape timbers and sign posts made from recycled plastic, <br />rubberized asphalt made with recycled tires, and glassphalt made with <br />ground �lass, building insulation, and other building materials, etc. <br />5. A fire hydrant is required within 200 driving feet but not closer than <br />50 feet of every structure. <br />-7- <br />
