Fire lanes must be provided as required in Everett Municipal Code 46.44. Fire lanes <br />must be identified by red curbs with white stenciling stating "NO PARKING - FIRE LANE" <br />and vertical signs stating "NO PARKING - FIRE LANE - TOW AWAY ZONE." The <br />location must be approved by the Fire Marshal. <br />25. When access to or within a structure or an area is unduly difficult because of secured <br />openings or where immediate access is necessary for life saving or fire -fighting <br />purposes, the Fire Department may recommend or require a key box to be installed in an <br />accessible location. A rapid entry system may also be desirable in order to avoid <br />unnecessary damage while making entry to any building during an emergency situation. <br />Please call 259-8726 for further information. <br />26. The City of Everett prohibits outdoor burning; therefore, outdoor burning for the purpose <br />of disposing of construction debris or rubbish will not be permitted. <br />27. Fire safety practices during construction must be in compliance with Article 87 of the <br />Uniform Fire Code. <br />
