a. There is an exception to eliminate wall insulation for semi -heated spaces, if using <br />other fuel (not electric) and the space heating is controlled by a thermostat with a <br />maximum setpoint capacity of 45 degrees. <br />b. All spaces are considered be semi -heated, at minimum, per WSEC section 1301. <br />2. The insulation, glazing and R-value at new doors and exterior envelope should be shown <br />on the drawings to meet the minimum requirements to comply with the 2009 Washington <br />State Energy Code. <br />Mechanical <br />1. A separate mechanical permit is required for new equipment and the distribution of air, <br />heat or cooling. <br />Upon resubmission of the drawings, your application will be given priority and plan review will <br />resume. All required submittals must be of sufficient detail and information to ensure that the <br />proposed structure will be constructed in compliance with all adopted codes. <br />These comments address building issues only. Revisions or additions may be required by other <br />departments (Utilities, Public Works, or Planning). Code references cited include the 2009 <br />International Building Code (IBC), 2009 International Fire Code (IFC), the 2009 International <br />Mechanical Code (IMC), the Uniform Plumbing Code (UPC), the 2009 Washington State Energy <br />Code (WSEC), and the ICC/ANSI A117.1-2003 Accessible and Usable Buildings and Facilities.
