Additional notes have been added on the PROPOSED PARKING AND LANDSCAPING PLAN <br />on Sheet I in regards to the accessible route to the inainffront door to the structure, <br />discussing the slope requirements and clear route to the building. <br />Additional notes have been added on the PROPOSED PARKING AND LANDSCAPNG Pi.AN <br />on Sheet 1 indicating the area where new parking striping is to be painted and new <br />curb stops (our relocated curb stops) are to be installed. Notes have been added to <br />indicate the relocation of curb stops and painting over of the existing parking striping <br />in fn•ont of the building. <br />Please submit a roof plan with target references to details for the existing building and <br />new addition, and identify the extent and type of insulation (existing or new). <br />Pacific Response: <br />A ROOF PLAN has been added on the new Sheet 4.1 showing the NEW storage addition <br />and existing nhixed ntse stztcture. The existing buiilding will have R-30 insulation <br />installed over the entire roof and R-30 insulation installed over the NEW addition: <br />(storage). <br />Occupancy <br />I. Occupancy classifications and occupant load calculations should be submitted for the <br />retail and storage areas, per IBC table 1004.1.1. <br />Pacific Response: <br />Refer to the OCCUPANT LO.iD CALCUIrI TION and BUILDING DATA ou Slheel l fo- futrdhel- <br />clarification. The occupancy uses will be designed io meet the requirements of a NON - <br />SEPARATED MIXED USE structure in accordance with Section 508.3 of the 2009 <br />International Building Code. In the main building, the space has Business, Storage <br />and Mercantile occupancies. The new addition is considered storage (S-1). These are <br />indicated on the plans on Sheets 2 and 3. Our analysis indicates an occupant load of <br />40. <br />2. If the space is business use, not retail, the occupant load calculations and plans should <br />identify the specific uses, per IBC section 508.1. <br />Pacific Response: <br />See response to Item No. I (Occur anc ), above. <br />3. The code analysis should identify if the occupancy uses are accessory, non -separated or <br />separated, or some combination, per IBC sections 508.2, 508.3 or 508.4. <br />Pacific Response: <br />See response to Item No. I (Occur anc above. <br />Foss <br />1. Two exits are required when the occupant load calculations exceed 49 people, per IBC <br />Table 1021.2. <br />Pacific Response: <br />The occupant load in accordance with our calculations is 40, which is below the <br />requirement for two means of egress.
