Additionally, we modified the storage area floor plan on the PARTIAL FOUNDATION <br />1F1.00R PL,w of Sheet 3 to indicate post and bean: construction in place of the central <br />roof bearing wall. The of leer interior partitions have been eliminated. This will provide <br />the owner with an open floor plan that can more easily be heated to 45 degrees with <br />one unit. Modifications have also been made to the RooF FRAMING PLAN on Sheets 4, <br />with similar modifications 6r Sections 2 and 5 on Sheet 5..'Idditional calculations are <br />provided with this letter. <br />Accessibility <br />1. The indication of an accessible route should be shown to include the building entrance, <br />with a slope not greater than 1:20, per ICC/ANSI A117.1-2003 section 402.2. The <br />existing slope of the exterior paving and modifications required to maintain a slope not <br />greater than 1:20 on the accessible route to the building entrance should be shown on <br />the drawings. <br />Pacific Response: <br />Additional pores have been added on the PROPOSrD PARKINGAND L,INDSC,IPING PLAN on <br />Sheet I with respect to the accessible route to the maiuffront door, indicating the slope <br />requirements and clear route to the building and paving repairs. <br />2. Hardware in the new addition for new doors, or reinstalled existing doors, should be <br />shown on the drawings to comply with graspability requirements of IBC section <br />1008.1.9.1. <br />Pacific Response: <br />Refer to Sheet 4.1 for new door elevation and notes for hardware and energy <br />requirements. Lever handles have been shown for all doors conforming to accessible <br />requirements. <br />3. If vision lites are provided in new doors, or reinstalled existing doors, the location of <br />the vision lites should be shown on the drawings to comply with A117.1-2003 section <br />404.2.10. <br />Pacific Response: <br />No vision lites are called for on the new doors. <br />Energy <br />1. The new addition will require insulation to be shown on the drawings to comply with <br />Table 13-1, per WSEC section 1310.2 for slab on grade construction, walls and roofs. <br />a. There is an exception to eliminate wall insulation for semi -heated spaces, if <br />using other fuel (not electric) and the space heating is controlled by a <br />therniostat with a maximum setpoint capacity of 45 degrees. <br />Pacific Response: <br />New R-30 rigid insulation will be added to the new addition roof. Insulation is <br />also indicated over the entire main building roof as well. Refer to the new <br />RooF PLAN on new Sheet 4.1. <br />Foundation insulation has been added around the perimeter of the concrete <br />slab, and is indicated on the PARTIAL FOUNDATIONIFLOOR PLAN on Sheet 3. <br />11220Cort Not Rspnll•10-11-dM 11/10/11 <br />
