Terra Firma
Noordin & Sayani Site
Traffic Impact Analysis
Page -2-
December 14, 1968
center two way left turn lane, and three through lanes in each
direction, including 13' wide curb lanes and other through lanes
at 11' widths. The curbs, gutters, and sidewalks end at the city
limits at the unopened 108th St. S.W. right of way. South of
108th, SR 99 has five lanes and paved shoulders. The tapers from
the five lane width to the sevtr. lane width occur immediately
north of lOBth St. Southwest. Evergreen Way is straight and
relatively flat, and siqht distances are qood.
At the proposed site driveway, the southbound posted speed
limit is 40 MPH. The southbound speed limit changes to 50 MPH
just south of the proposed driveway, within the taper from three
to two southbound through lanes, The proposed driveway is within
the 50 MPH to 40 MPH speed reduction zone for northbound traffic.
"Reduced Speed Ahead - 40 MPH" siqns are located just aouth of
the proposed driveway and the 40 MPH speed limit is posted north
,f the driveway.
TRIP GENERATION AND DISTRIBUTION
Table 1 shows the estimated vehicular trip qeneratio for AM
and PM street traffic peak hour conditions and for an average
weekday. Since the tenants of the project are not known at this
time, the nature of the truck traffic entering and exiting the
project cannot be predicted with certainty. Aowever, based on
the preliminary site plan, eatimates of site-qenerated truck
traffic have been made for the purposes of this analysis, as
ahown in Table 1 .
Most of the site-generated trips will comprise new traffic
added to Everqreen Way. It is eatimated that about half of the
sfte-generated traffic will use Evergreen Way to and from the
north, and about half will use Evergreen Way to and from the
south.
TRAFFIC VOLUMES
Table 2 shows traffic volumes on Evergreen Way south of
Everett Mall Way, The 1988 and 1990 without project volumes
shown are from the Walden Pond A artments Traffic Im act Anal sis
prepared by Transportation P ann nq 6 Engineer ng, Inc. (TP6E) n
October, 1988. The 1988 traffic volumes are from City of Everett
counts. The 1990 without project volumes include 4.28 per year
compounded background traffic volume growth, and projected
