0 <br />i C <br />Mow all turf areas on a weekly basis or often enough so that not more than one-third of the total <br />leaf or blade is removed at any one cutting, a maximum of 36 times per year. In areas of foot <br />traffic and along street frontages, turf mowing equipment shall be fitted with attachments to catch <br />and bag clippings. In areas where there is no foot traffic, a mulching mower shad be used. Ali <br />caught lawn clippings shall be disposed of off -site. After mowing and edging, clippings shall be <br />removed from sidewalks, driveways, and curbs. Edging shall be done every other week. Rough <br />grass areas, including blo-swales, shall be mowed six times a year and clippings shall not be <br />caught. <br />Mowinz Schedule <br />January <br />One mowing or as needed depending on weather conditions <br />February <br />One mowing or as needed depending on weather conditions <br />March <br />Two to three mowings, if needed <br />April - September <br />Weekly throughout growing season <br />October <br />Two to three mowings, if needed <br />November <br />One mowing or as needed depending on weather conditions <br />December <br />No mowing <br />Weeds <br />Weeds shall be removed by mechanical or chemical process in the turf, groundcover, and seasonal <br />color beds to achieve an overall weed -free appearance to the entire project. Weeding shall be <br />done on a rotation basis averaging every other week during the growing season. Pre/post- <br />emergent herbicides shall be used where deemed necessary. All chemicals shall be applied under <br />the direction of a Licensed Application Specialist. <br />Fertilization <br />Fertilizer shall be applied seasonally as necessary to maintain a vigorous growing condition. The <br />time of year, soil conditions, condition of the turf, the type of plants, and the type of watering <br />program shall determine application. <br />Trees, shrubs, groundcover, and seasonal color beds shall be fertilized as needed using an all- <br />purpose 15-15-15 liquid fertilizer consisting of nitrogen, phosphorous, and potassium. Planting <br />beds shall be fertilized a maximum of twice during the growing season. <br />Turf areas shall be maintained with four balanced fertilizer applications of 24-7-14 slow release at <br />4 to 6 pounds per 1,000 square feet. The lawn shall be fertilized a maximum of four times during <br />the growing season. An annual application of prilled lime shall be completed in mid -April. <br />2 <br />
