Termination depths of the test pits ranged from <br />three (3) feet (TP-5) to eight (8) feet (TP-3) below the present <br />� surface elevation. This phase of our study was performed on <br />December 14, 1981. <br />� <br />L.'`J <br />E' 1 <br />� <br />� <br />� <br />All test pits were excavated utilizinq a rubber-tired, tractor <br />mounted backhoe. Representative soil sampi�s were retained during <br />our backhoe testing and returned to our laboratory in airtight con- <br />tainers for further classification. <br />SITE DESCRIPITION <br />The area studied during our backhoe testing consisted of approxi- <br />mately .G6 acres of open property. Several small alders had been <br />recently removed from the site, while a few small trees remain. All <br />property is loc�ted within the city limits of Everett, Washington. <br />
