Structural fill and/or any site
improvements should only be placed upon an approved subgrade surface as confirmed by GES, Inc.
4.3 Structural Fill
Based on the supplied site plans, the placement of structural fill should be limited to below the parking
areas, driveway areas, behind foundation walls and to below slabs on grade around this site. The use of
structural fill will be primarily for achieving the design grades once the site has been cleared, grubbed and
the top soil unit removed. Surfaces to receive structural fill should be graded to a level Flat plain, rolled and
compacted to a non -yielding condition as outlined in section 4.2 above. We recommend that the prepared
surface be approved by GES, Inc. as suitable to receive fill prior to the placement of any structural till.
Structural fill placed on this site should consist of imported granular soil. 2" minus crushed rock, similar to
that provided by Iron Mtn.
