FMC 16.12.080 (B) Dangerous Building. For the purpose of this code, any building or <br />structure which has any or all of the conditions or defccts hereinaiier described shall be <br />deemed to be a dangerous building, provided that such conditions or defects exist to the <br />extent that the lifc, health, property or safety of the public or its occupants are endangered: <br />(5) Whenever any portion or member or appurtenance thercof is likely to fail, <br />or to becomc dctached or dislodged, or to collapse and thercby injurc <br />persons or damage properiy. <br />(7) Whencver any poriion thercof has wracked, warp�d, buckled or setded to such an <br />ex(ent that walls or other structural portions have materially less resistance to <br />winds or earthquakes than is requircd in the case of similar new construction. <br />(8) Whenever the building or structure, or any portion thereof, because of (i) <br />dilapidation, deterioration or decay; (ii) faulty construction; (iii) the <br />removal, movement or instability of any portion of the ground necessary <br />for the purpose of supporling such building; (iv) the deterioration, decay or <br />inadequacy of its foundation; or (v) any other causc, is likely to partially or <br />completely collapse. <br />(9) Whenever, for any reason, the building or structure, or any portion thcreof <br />is manifesdy unsafe for the purpose for which it is being used. <br />(12) Whenever the building or structure has been so damaged by fire, wind, earthquake <br />or flood, or has become so dilapidated, or deterioraled as to become; (i) an <br />auractive nuisancc to children; (ii) a harbor for vagrants, criminals, or immoral <br />persons; or (iii) as to enable persons to resort thereto for the purpose of <br />committing unlawful or immoral acts. <br />(1 G) Whene: � er any building or structure, because of obsolescence, dilapidated <br />condition, �eterioration, damage, inadequate exits, lack of sufficient fire-resistive <br />construction, fau!ty clectric wiring, gas connections or heating apparatus, or other <br />cause, is determined by the fire marshal to be a fire hazard. <br />(17) The building is in such a condition as to constitute a public nuisance <br />known to the common law or in equity jurisprudence. <br />The gru•nge%rn�ort sn•uclure silunted on the rear portion ojthe property and <br />nbuan,g rl,e a/ley is clilapidnled anrl in clanger ojco/lapse, nnr! it is ope�i to enlry. <br />The niain sh•i�c�urnl sty�port benrris are ivn�ped and rto longer provirle ndequate <br />support !o �t�irhholrl requirerl loads.
