RESUL'I�S <br />The following sections provide a summary of existin� site cunditions and descnbe the on-site <br />critical arcas. <br />3.1 TOPOGFU�YHY AVD AiAPPEU SOILS <br />Thc eastem nvo-thirds of the site are �enerally level with a sligh[ northem slope drainine row;vd <br />Puget Sound. Immcdiatdy west of d�c developed portion of t}ie sitc the properiy slopes stccply to <br />the �cest then more gendy to thc off-site Typc Ns Strcam. The Soil Survey of Snohomish County <br />Area 1Va�h�ngton maps one soil unit on the subject property; Aldenaood-Urban land complex 2 to S <br />percent slopcs. This soi► unit is not included on thc Snohomish County I.ist of Hydric Soils; <br />however, listed soil unit inclusions of �IcKenna, i��omia, and Terric Medisapri�ts are listed as <br />hydric. <br />3.2 ��'ETLA\DS <br />NA Statc llcpt. of Ecolugy �VcUand R:riing: Catcgor}' I�' <br />Co«'ardin Classification: Palustrine, Forested �Vetland, Pcrsistent, Scasonally Saturated <br />r1 forested �vedand unit originates near the toe of the on-site steep �ves[em aspect slope (see attached <br />Sheet Ul). The �vctland e�tends oCf-site to the west, north and south of d�c subject praperty. Thc <br />wetl:+nd unit includes a scasonal 'l�ype Ns Stre�m (Dogwood-Glm Creck). Tlie majority of the on- <br />site wedvid arca was samrated, but lacked ponding at the surface at the timc of our im�estigation on <br />�tay 16'�, following significantly higher than average precipitation in April and May 2011. Tlie <br />overstory of the wedand is dominatcd by Red alder (Alnicr n�bra, Fac) and ���estern red cedar (Thuja <br />plicaln, Fac), with lesser amonnts of Pacific willow (Sali.r /usiand�•a, Fac�,V) and cascara (Rhnm�u�s <br />pershinna, Fac) also prescnL T�he understory contains hardhack spiraca (Spiraea, douglasii, Fac�V), <br />salmonUerry (Rubus spec7nbilrs, Fac� ) and liimalayan bl:�ckberry (Rubus disrolor, FacU). The <br />hcrbaccous laycr contains skamh cabbagc (Lysichih�m nmcricunum, Obl), lady-fem (Ad�y�ium felii- <br />fcminn, FacW), ;ind crccping buttercup (Ramurndu.c repens, �ac�V).
