The Police Aepartment has the followinq security <br />recommendations: <br />a. ;,ighting of the parking lot should be a minimum of 3-4 <br />foot candles. <br />b. A monitored fire and intruslor. alsrm s;�stem zoned for <br />each entity should be provided. To provide protection <br />in case of armed robbery, include remote panic buttons <br />and/or foot trip if using customer counter. <br />c. If offices will be handling cash, an actual money safe <br />should be installed (for next day receipts only). <br />Seismic detectors and passive infrared alarm sensors <br />should also be installed in the room. <br />d. The perimeter doors should be solid core or metal with <br />double cylinder dead-bolts in�talled. If doors open to <br />the outside, or hinges are exposed, pin hinges should <br />be provided. <br />e. If store frotit glass doors are part of the project, <br />they should have locking case bol.ts top and bottom. <br />The door should have a maximum security dead-bolt with <br />1 3/4" throw and 3/4" laminated steel. <br />f. Metal security bay doors �an be secured with 3/8" case- <br />hardened steel hasps or chain and padlocks with i/2" <br />case-hardened steel shackies. <br />g. The more office windows that are visible to the park.ing <br />area, the safer the area is from assaults and thefts. <br />h. If utilizing fencing, it should be 6 feet chain lin1�. <br />i.
