INITIAL STATEMENT <br /> (1) Public Utility District No. 1 of Snohomish County("PUD"or <br /> "Applicant"), on behalf of itself and co-licensee City of Everett, Washington,' applies to <br /> the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission ("Commission"or"FERC") for an <br /> amendment of license for the Henry M. Jackson Hydroelectric Project ("Jackson Project" <br /> or"Project"). The proposed amendment is a non-capacity related amendment to delete a <br /> 3.79 mile 115 kV single circuit transmission line("South Line") from the license. The <br /> South Line is no longer used solely to transmit power from the Project to the <br /> interconnected grid and would be part of the PUD's interconnected transmission system <br /> even if the Project were not to exist.
