f. Concrete <br />g. Steel <br />2. All piping located beneath the building expansion will be excavated and renioved. <br />GRADING <br />1. An allowance was included for cutting, filling and compa�iir.g a 12 inch depth over the entire <br />area to be paved. <br />2. Within lhe building area it wiil be necessary to cut out material at the northem end and also at <br />the loading dock �rea on the west side. It was assumed the material removed could be used in <br />grading the ma?n ii�^.k apron area. <br />3. A lump sum amount was included for soil erosion control to accommodate hay bales at catch <br />basins, grevel construction entrance and silt fences. <br />PAVEMENT <br />1. Asphalt paving for roads and tiuck aprons consist of a 2 inch surtace course, 3 inch binder <br />course, 10 inch thick gravel and a geotextile fabric on a compacted subgrade. <br />2. Asphalt paving for vehicle paricing consists of a 1 inch surtace, 2 inch binder course, 6 inch thick <br />gravel and a geotexlile fabric on a compaded subgrade. <br />3. Concrete truck dock pads and truck dollie wheel pads consist oi 0 inch thick non-reinforcad <br />concrete, 4 inch thick gravel base on a compacted sutgrade. The dollie wheei pads are 8 feet <br />wide. - <br />4. Temporary asphalt sidewalk from the Naval Reserve parking is 4 feet wide, 2 inches thick on a <br />compacted subgrade. <br />5. 4 inch wide latex paint striping has been included for iruck trailer stalls, vehicle parking stalls and <br />road center lines. <br />FIRE PROTECTION <br />7. A section of exisling 12 inch main on the east sfde of the rew building wiil be relecated and tied <br />back into the ex�sting line. <br />2. A new fire hydrant with hydrant house will be located off the new section of fire main. A section <br />of 6 inch ductile iron pipe (DIP) and gate valve with valve box will be included. <br />3. A new 8 inch DIP fire riser will enter the new addition and tum up 12 inches above the floor <br />where it will be conneded by the sprinkler Contractor. An 8 inch post indicator valve wiil be <br />provided on the riser at the main. <br />4. Thrust blocks will be provided at all pipe bends and fitti�gs. <br />5. 6 inch diameter pipe guard posts 3 feet high will be used at all above ground fire hydrants and <br />PIVs. <br />16G5201315COPEIWRTUP 2 December 15, 7994 <br />
