Soil remediation is not necessary based on current MTCA requirements.
However, soil remediation is recommended in the area of the former UST, as
it would be helpful to Facilitate cleanup of the subsurface water discovered in
this location (VW-l). Removal of these soils, and any associated subsurface
water, would furiher reduce concems of contaminant migration in (or to)
groundwater.
1.0 INTRODUCTION
G-Logics was authorized by City of Everett (the City) to conduct a site exploration at the
subject property (Figures 1 and 2). The scope of this exploration was based on the results of
previous site explorations conducted 'o identify the extent of a gasoline releace from an
underground storage tank located along the westem side of the Fire Station property.
Previous site-exploration reports reviewed for this project aze identified below. Based on the results of this exploration and
a comparison to MTCA Cleanup Levels, recommendations were made regazding the need
for remediation or treatment to reduce contaminant concentrations to levels acceptabfe
under MTCA. This investigative work is being performed at this time as the current fire
station and the adjacent four homes (southem pazcels) soon will be demolished and a new
and expanded fire station constructed.

OI.OIOSC•RT.doc 3 S_„fCs '
Copynght 2001 GLogics, Inc.
