Upon completion of the monitoring wells on October 24, 000, groundwater was not
present in either well. On October 27, 2000, a water sample was collected from the existing
monitoring well VW-2, again the only well with viater. The two newly installed wells were
again measured on November 29, 2000, and again were found ot to contain groundwater.
The collected sample from well VW-2 was submitted to the analytical laboratory and
analyzed by the following methods:
Analyses
Total Petroleum Hydrocarbons as Gasoline (NWTPH-Gx)
BETX (EPA 8021B)
MTBE
Quantity
I I
Results of these analyses aze presented in Section 4.2 of this report. Appendi.c B presents
details of the well installation, development, and sampling program. Appendix C presents
the well-construction information (boring loE s).
3.3 Quality Assurance,'tluality Control
Quality Assurance/Quality Conhol (QA/QC) included generally accepted procedures for
sample collection, storage, tracking, documentation, and analysis. All samples were labeied
with a sample number, date, time, and sampler name, and were stored in an ice chest
containing frozen blue ice. Appropriate chain-of-custody documentallon was completed.
3.4 Grouudwater Depih Measurements
As described above, growidwater was not identify during drilling of the borings as part of
this current exploration. Additionally, groundwater was not found in the two new wells on
October 27, 2000 or November 29, 2000. Appendix B presents details of the groundwater
depth-measurement procedures. The static depth to wate.r in well VW-2 was approximately
16.0 feet below the ground surface on October 24th. This water level dropped considerably
duriag sampling of this well, indicating a limited rechazge azea. This indication is supported
by the fact that a newly instalied well (MW-2) is located approximately 20 feet to the west,
is screened to a similaz depth, and consistently did not contain groundwater on the measured
dates.

01-0105-C•RT.doc . ^'v7{CS
CaPyriBht 2001 G-Logics, Inc.
