At least one handrail shall extend at least 12 inches beyond the top riser and 23 inches <br />beyond the bottom riser. Section 3306(i). <br />22. Exits shall be i'.luminated to comply with Section 3313. <br />23. Provide exit signs in conformance with Section 3314. <br />24. The exit stair from the second floor apartments cannot pass through the occupancy <br />separation required between the garage and apartments. <br />25. Accessible doors shall have maneuvering clearances per Section 31060)3. <br />26. A clear circular unobstructed floor space 60 inches in diameter within the toilet room is <br />required. Doors may encroach into this space by not more than 12 inches. Section <br />3106(k)2. <br />27. Provide grab bars per Section 3106(k)5c and 3106(k)11. <br />28. A clear space 30 inches wide, 29 inches high and 17 inches in depth shall be provided <br />under each lavatory. Section 3106(k)7c. a clear floor space not less than 30 inches wide <br />and 48 inches deep is required in front of lavatories and sinks. Section 3106(k)7a. <br />29. The bottom of at least one mirror shall be within 40 inches of the floor. Section 3105(b)3 <br />and 3106(k)8. <br />30. Hand drying equipment and toilet accessories shall be placed within 40 inches of the floor. <br />Section 3106(k)8. <br />31. Provide signage per Section 3106(p) to accessible parking spaces, entrances (when not all <br />entrances are accessible), toilet and bathing facilities (when not all are accessible) and at <br />every major junction along or leading to an exterior accessible route of travel. Section <br />3103(b)4. <br />32. In multi -story buildings or portions thereof required to be accessible by Section 3103, at <br />least one accessible elevator shall serve each level, including mezzanines. Section <br />3105(c). Please note that because the second floor exceeds 3,000 gross square feet that <br />the office areas must be accessible VIA an elevator. The apartment units are not required <br />to be accessible. <br />33. Controls, operating mechanisms and hardware shall be accessible in accordance with <br />Section 3106(c). Section 3105(d)8. <br />34. Alarm systems shall include both audible and visible alarms and shall be located per <br />Section 3105(d)9. <br />
