GES, Inc. should be contacted to provide <br />recommendations if any of the above described conditions are encountered during construction. <br />Excavation and grading should be accomplished in such a manner as to allow continued and controlled <br />drainage !hroughout the site. Drainage controls and use of frenc6 drains should be done in accordence <br />with the recommeudations contained in section 4.6 ofthis report. Loose and/or saturated soil should be <br />removed as necessary under the direction of GES, Inc. and be replaced with 2" to 4" crushed rock. <br />4.3 Strur.ural Fill <br />, Based on our review of the site p]ans and grades it appears that fill will need to he placed behind the <br />basement walls, below the basement slabs and in front of the southem part of the home in the vicinity of <br />Ithe proposed patio. Cross Sections A-A' & B-B' show the proposed house elevations relative to the <br />e�asting site gades. These cross sections are included in Appe�rdrx F of this report. <br />On-site materials are not suitable for use as Sll/structural fill on Lhis site. The materials appear to be to <br />inhomogenious avd wet for reuse - even during dry weather periods. For fill/structural fill placed on <br />this site we recommend utiliting an imported granular fill consistmg of well graded, free draining, <br />granular soil free of organics and debris. The meterials for gravel bmrow spelled out iu WSDOT <br />Standard Specification section 9-03.14, Grave!
