this exterior exit staircase is rotted, deteriorated, and unstable. The <br />staircase easily moves at the touch of a hand. <br />6. Smoke detectors were not noted in the uni[s. <br />7. There is a window on the landing be[ween the 3rd and 2nd stories which <br />is complerely missing its glazing and caa be accessed from the exterior <br />of the building from the roof of the building next door, and to the north. <br />II. 2ND Floor <br />Units 7& 8 were not physically inspected. There was such a srench <br />coming from unit 8, this inspector became nauseated. <br />2. Unit 6 has broken windows, glazing missing. <br />3. Unit 5(occupied) had what appears ro be a kitchen but, appliances were <br />not working. No plumbing was noted and there is no common kitchen. <br />4. All bathtub faucets fall below the water level of the tubs and may allow <br />gray water to sipLon back into the potable water supply. One bathwb <br />has watcr running in it constandy. This same bathtub has a water supply <br />leak which has caused the unit below serious moisture problems. <br />5. Entrance doors on the units do not close tighdy and are not fire rated. <br />Allhough the entrance doors were locked with padlocks on the exterior, <br />dra(ts could be felt while standing near the doors and this inspector could <br />see the interior of d�e units. <br />❑I. 1ST Floor <br />1. Unit 1(occupied by manager ) has plaster and paint falling from the <br />ceiling in the living room irom a water leak of unknown origin. <br />2. Electrical work has been conducted in Ihe bathroom of unit 1. Electrical <br />permits were not issued for installation of fans and heat lamps. <br />Installation is questionable. <br />3. Unit 2(occupied) has a large hole, aor�roximately 1 foot by 2 feet, in the <br />ceiling as a result of the water leak from the piumbing on the 2nd floor. <br />4. The carpet and Floor in unit 2 is saturated with water as a result of the <br />water leak from the 2nd �loor. Not all areas of this unit were accessible <br />for inspection. <br />
