If no locator service is <br /> 9 available for the area, notice sYia!I be provided individualiy to those owners of <br /> 10 . �tilities known to, or suspected ��f, having underground faciliFies within the area <br /> I 11 of the proposed excavation. <br /> 12 <br /> 13 1-07.18 Public Liability ��nd Property Damage Insurance <br /> { 14 The first sentence of the first paragraph is revised to read: <br /> � 15 <br /> 16 The Contractar shall obtain and keep in force during the term of the contract and <br /> I 17 until 30 days after the Physical Completion date, unless otherwise indicated <br /> i8 below, the following insurance with companies or through sources approved by <br /> 19 the State Insurance Commissioner pursuant to Chapter 48.05, RCW. <br /> I 20 <br /> 21 1-07.22 Use of Explosives <br /> 22 This section is revised to read: <br /> I 23 <br /> 24 When using explosives, the Contractor shall use the utmost care to protect life <br /> 25 and property, to prevent slides, and to leave undisturbed all materials outside <br /> i 26 the neat lines of the cross-section. <br /> 27 <br /> 28 Explosives shall be hzndled, marked, stored, and used in compliance with WAC <br /> � 29 296-52 and such local laws, rules, and regulations that may apply. The stricter <br /> � 30 provisions shall apply. <br /> 31 <br /> 32 All explosives shall be stored securely as required by all laws and ordinances <br /> 33 that apply. Each storage place shall be clearly marked: "Dangerous - <br /> 34 Explosives." �lo explosives shall be left unprotected. <br /> 35 <br /> 36 If public utilities or railroads own equipment near the blast site, the Contractor <br /> 37 sha!I notify the owners of the Iocation, date, time, and approximate duration of <br /> 38 the blasting. This notice shall be given sufficiently in advance to enable all <br /> I 39 owners to take any steps as they deem necessary to protect their property from <br /> � 40 injury. . <br /> 41 <br /> I 42 Blasting near propcsed structures shall be completed before work on them <br /> 43 begins. VJhen the use of explosives is necessary for the prosecution of the <br /> .
