Tha <br /> 3 Contractor shall rnaintain existing roads and streets within the project limits, <br /> 4 keeping them open, and in good, clean, safe condition at all ?imes. Deficiencies not caused by the Contractor's operation� shali be <br /> 7 repaired by the Contractor when directed by the Engineer, at the Gantracting <br /> e Agency's expense. Remove or repair any condition resulting from the work tha.t might <br /> I 15 impede traffic or create a hazard. <br /> 16 <br /> 17 2. Keep existing traffic signal and highway lighting systems in operation <br /> � 18 as tlie work proceeds. (The Contracting Agency •.vill continue the <br /> � 19 routine maintenance on such systemsJ <br /> 20 <br /> 21 3. Maintain the striping on the roadway at the Contracting Agency's <br /> 22 expense. The Contractor shall be responsible fcr scheduling when to <br /> 23 renew striping, subject to the approval of the Engineer. When the <br /> I 24 scope of the project dces not require work on the roadway, the <br /> 25 Contracting Agency will be responsible for maintaining the striping. <br /> 26 <br /> 27 4. Maintain existing permanent signing. Repair of signs will be at the <br /> I 28 Contracting Agency's expense, except those damaged due to the <br /> 29 Contractor's operations. <br /> 30 <br /> I 31 5. Keep drainage structures clean to allow for free flow of water.
