All excavations in roadway areas shall be backfilled and patched with temporary asphalt at the end of each workciay �nless permission is granted to do othenvise by the Engineer. All temporary patches shall be permanently patched wi[hin Iwo weeks of completion of work within Ihe roadway area. Where unsuitable material is encountered,as deterniined by the Engineer, where settlement of subgrade has occurred,the unsuitable material shall be reanoved and the c�cavation shall be backfilled with Quarry S��alls or Gravel Borrow,as directed by the Engineer,and theroughly compacted. Care shall be taken to avoid damage to existing sprinkler systems and/or landscaped areas. Damage ro sprinkler systems shall be repaired with the appropriate equipment and left operable. Final payment to the Contractor shall be withheld until the systems are repaired to the owner's satisfaction and landscaping restored. Conduit risers shall be constructed in accordance with Everett Standard Plun No. 820. Thc bottom 10' of the riser shall be galvanized steel or Schedule 80 PVC and the remaining portion shall be Schedu�e 40 PVC or Schedule 80 PVC. The riser shall be installed on a standoff with 4" i minimum clearance between the conduit and the pole. A weather head is required and shal) be located S" � below the secondary power lines. I D) Service Connections: The Contractor shall obtain a City of Everett Electrical Pertnit from the Building Department at no cost. When the service is ready to be hooked u�, lhe contractor shall contac[ the Building Department to request an electricai inspection, After the service has becn approved for hook up, the City shall contact the Snohamish County PUD No. 1 and they will make the service connections ro the I power suppiy at a cest io be paid by the City.
