All excavations in roadway areas shall be backfilled and patched with temporary asphalt at the end of each <br /> workciay �nless permission is granted to do othenvise by the Engineer. All temporary patches shall be <br /> permanently patched wi[hin Iwo weeks of completion of work within Ihe roadway area. Where unsuitable <br /> material is encountered,as deterniined by the Engineer, where settlement of subgrade has occurred,the unsuitable <br /> material shall be reanoved and the c�cavation shall be backfilled with Quarry S��alls or Gravel Borrow,as directed <br /> by the Engineer,and theroughly compacted. <br /> Care shall be taken to avoid damage to existing sprinkler systems and/or landscaped areas. Damage ro sprinkler <br /> systems shall be repaired with the appropriate equipment and left operable. Thc bottom 10' of the riser shall be galvanized steel or Schedule 80 PVC and the remaining portion <br /> shall be Schedu�e 40 PVC or Schedule 80 PVC. The riser shall be installed on a standoff with 4" <br /> i minimum clearance between the conduit and the pole.
