Approx- <br />imately 60 people returned queetioanairee handed out at the meeting. We <br />have nw evaluated ehis input. As a result of co�unity aentiment and <br />further engineering aaalysis, we have altered our initial plan eomewhat <br />and are proceeding toward completing the deaign report by May 1984. <br />Follo�ing is a basic ��ary of ehe meeting input and aay correeponding <br />chaages ehat ve have decided to make: <br />gVERETT CONNECTION ( Vic SB 5) <br />56x of ehe people ansvering the queetionnaire favored one, or the other, <br />of ehe alternate� requiring a left turn from Hevitt Avenue to SR 2 over <br />one going •eraight east from Hevitt ( similiar to existing ). Conaidering <br />the engineering and safety problems with a ramp similiar to existing, We <br />agree and have not baeically changed our initial plan. The exact location <br />of the intereection of ehe ramp w th Hewitt Avenue is still being coordinated <br />vith ehe Citq of Everett to fit ti:eir future etreet plana. <br />HOl�ACRHS BOAD/EBEY ISLAND INTERCNANGS <br />96x of the meeting input indicated that the exieting interseetion at Home- <br />acres Road is unsafe. Slx favozed a aurface road south of the water linee, <br />connecting to the Ebey I�land Interchange. 36X favored a right only on/off <br />connection at Homeacre• with an auxiliary lane on the SR 2 EB atructure <br />betrreen Homeacres and the Ebey I�land I/C. 19X favored a rehabilitated 2- <br />way structura in the vicinity of the existing EB wood seructure, vith a <br />surface road weaving under the etructure and through ehe neighborhood north <br />of SR 2. <br />In addition to co�unity preference, ve have decided to recommend the eurface <br />road south of ehe water line� because of benefita to coet, alignment, eafety, <br />and acces�.
