While thie alternate <br />appeara to go beyond the " bridge replacement " ecope of this project 6 <br />increaaee the coet of the project eignificantly, ae have reco�ended a <br />change to our initial plan to incorporate it, considering the atrong <br />co�unity input and the eafety and engineering advantagee. <br />Input at the meeting aleo showed that 83X felt that, overall, exieting <br />SR 2 ie unsafe vhile 84X felt that the exieting bikevay ie uneafe. <br />Other elemente of the deeign have not changed from our initial plan ae <br />deecribed in our Nevaletter of January 3, 1984. Our echedule remaine the <br />same, vith conetruction beginning in 1986 and completion about 1992. <br />While Federal Conetruction Funds have not been co�itted yet, ve are <br />optimistic that they vill be, and are proceeding with our design accordingly. <br />We would like to thank thoee that attended our open houee.
