An <br />architectural section through the corridor is necessary <br />to determine how this is accomplished. <br />10. Interior openings into corridors should be protected as <br />specified in Section 3304(h). <br />11. Handrails should be placed not less than 30 inches <br />nor more than 34 inches above the tread. Section <br />3305(i). Two handrails are required where stairways <br />exceed 44 inches in width. <br />12. Guardrails for stairs, balconies, and landings should <br />conform with Section 1714. Note that maximum clearance <br />between intermediate rails is 9 inches. <br />13. Panic hardware is required on exit doors serving Group <br />B Occupancies having an occupant load of more than 100. <br />Section 3316(a). In lieu of this, doors shall have no <br />locks or latches. <br />14. Provide heating and ventilating plans and specifications. <br />15. Structural columns shall be one -hour fire -protected. <br />Table 17-A. <br />16. Provide details of exterior stairway. Section 3305(m). <br />17. Change in elevations of less than 12 inches along any <br />exit serving a tributary occupancy of 10 or more shall <br />be by ramps.
