Grand Avenue
An inspection was conducted at approximatPly 9:15 a.m. on March 7, 1985
of the six unit apartment structure at the above referenced address
and the following persons were in attendance:
Larry Callahan, Building Official
Doug Budden, Chief Inspector
Marian Dent, Housing Inspector i
Norm Vanderpool , Electrical Inspector
 Don Green, Occupant of Ru!lding
  Tom McKee, Owner
1' 7he inspection started at the front steps of the building with -'1 parties
'1 in attendance. A'visual inspection of the exterior of the build g
revealed that there was a general disrepair to the exterior whicn consisted
' of deteriorating paint, gutters rotting and rusting, lack of downspouts, •
broken glazing, bro:en frames, rotting sill plates, rotting beams and
' general lack of maintenance of the yard area. (This may be up to accep-
' table standards of the owner and occupant.)
1 Upon entering the structure it was observed that the foyer was being used
for the storage of computer parts (these were not in a location to make r.- ^-.;;nfua'
1 ingress and egress difficult or dangerous). At this juncture in the
inspection, Norm Vanderpool and Don Green came down from the 2nd floor and
said they were going outside and down to the basement to look at the
' electrical service (panel ) and Mr. McKee requested that w> all wait until
1 ' everybody was present so we could inspect as one body rather than go our
sparate ways. At this time Mr. Green appeard stating that the electrical
' inspector (Norm Vanderpool) had left as he had other inspections to perform.
' At this point in the inspection tour, Dcuy and ? entered an empty room that
was in a state of disrepair and from appearances could not be occupied or
'-- should not be occupied. Tliis area was the living room.
The next area that we inspected was the kitchen area of Apt. No. 1 and there
didn't appear to be any visible violations of any of the applicable codes.
This is the only area of Apt. No. 1 that was being utilized.
 ,v.
