4. The stairway up to the roof deck over the garage is missing the required guards and <br />handrails. The guards and handrails should either be replaced or the stairs sliould be <br />removed. <br />5. The size of the liot water heater required is based on the number of bathrooms and <br />bedrooms provided in the structure. For a 2 bathroom/8 bedroom structure, Table 5-1 <br />of the Uniform Plumbing Code requires an 80 gallon, first hour rating water heater. <br />6. Each flight of stairs that has 4 or more risers is required to have a handrail (one side of <br />the stairs). <br />a. Handrails should be located between 34-38 inches above the tread �osings. <br />b. Handrail grip-size should be in accordance with Section R311.7.7.3 <br />c.
