The cost to.Tiz Door Sales will be $.15 <br />lectper square foot per year. <br />The•Pub1iC Works Department has recommended that this request be approved.; <br />Moved by Councilman Aldcroft, seconded by Councilman Michelson, to grant, <br />the request and lease to•Tiz. Door Sales approximately'150 square feet of <br />public right-of-way at•a cost of $.15 per.square foot, <br />Roll was called with all Councilmen voting•yes; except Councilman Baker, <br />who was'absent from vot ng., <br />! - Motion Carried <br />SPECIAL'PR(*ERTY USE'P$RMIT (CB'801-10) / <br />Gerry Ervine, Planning apartment, reported that an application has been' <br />received from -Stop Abuse, Inc. for a special property use permit at 3827 <br />Grand. This project is to provide temporary emergency shelter to victims <br />of domestic violence and their children, not to exceed 15 people at any ' <br />one time; and to operate 24 hours a day in a large existing residence at <br />..3827 Grand. <br />`• Mr. Ervine said the lot area is 12,000 square feet and the existing <br />zoninq.is R-1 Single -Family Low -Density Residential. Surrounding zoning <br />C <br />is also Single -Family Low -Density. Rersidential. <br />�.1 Mr. Ervine. stated that the Planning Commission heard considerable test mor.: <br />'nt <br />on.this proposal and made the following findings: <br />1. The Stop Abuse Center will be reasonably compatible with other <br />uses and potential uses within the general area. <br />2.. Since the use will occupy an existing structure no major en- <br />vironmental effects.will result from.this activity. <br />3. The Stop Abuse Center will provide a vital service to the <br />residents of Everett and Snohomish County. ! <br />" 4. Parking demands'on site will be minimal as residents -at <br />Stop Abuse will be encouraged to leave their cars at an <br />off -site location to be approved by the City Traffic Engineer.. <br />It is recommended by the Planning Commission to grant the requested Specie <br />property Use Permit subject to the following conditions: <br />1. That the applicant provide the City of Everett with Power - <br />of -Attorney for street improvements to Grand Ave. by L.I.D. <br />•2: That the applicant participate in the•funding of the North <br />Erd Sanitary Sewer Interceptor. <br />3. That grading, temporary erosion controls and drainage plans <br />are submitted prior to any additional site work. <br />4.. That a detailed landscaping plan be submitted to and approved <br />by the Planning Department. This plan shall be implemented <br />prior to occupancy.
