5. Surfacewa¢er_ Plants and Animals• <br />Landscaping: The landscape plan should demonstrate an attempt to provide at least <br />75 � of the landscaping on the site in native, hybrid native or drought tolerant species <br />per Condition 4 on page 21. Plants with noted habitat or food value for wildlife <br />should be selected whenever possible. Permanent irrigation systems will not be <br />reyuired for areas planred with these rypes of species. Exotic invasive species must <br />be controlled. English ivy shall not be permitted in landscaped areas per Condition 7 <br />on page 21. <br />Water Qualiry anJ Groundwnter: Developments with hazardous materials on site must <br />comply with all applicable local, state and federal requirements. All developments <br />using toxic or hazardous materials must incorporate facilities and procedures for the <br />safe handling and effective monitoring of toxic or hazardous materials, which include <br />spill entrapment, training, and special handling (Condition 1 on page 29) <br />Water Q �ali y/Ha7ardouc Materialc: <br />Application of fungicides, herbicides, insecticides and fertilizers is prohibited on the <br />site from Jan�ary through April per Condition 3 on page 30. <br />All storni drains must he stenciled with language similar to the following: "Dump No <br />Waste, Drains ro(Stream/Wedand/Groundwater)" per Condition 4 on page 30. The <br />treatment should be rr.peated approximately annually. <br />During construction activities, all spitls must be contained and removed in such manner <br />as to prevent their en�ering the waters and soils of the stare. Cleanup of spills shall <br />take precedence over ether site work per Condition 5 on page 30 and Condition 2 on <br />page 39. <br />7. Toxic/Ha ardo �� Materi �,sy During construction all petroleum products, chemicals and <br />building materials that could contaminate runoff must be stored in a lined covered area <br />per Condition 3 on page 39. The location of this area must be shown on the plans <br />submitted for permits. <br />A hazardous materials inventory list shall be provided as a part of the submittal for <br />building permits per Condition 4 on page 39. <br />Dumpsters must be covered and maintained so that srormwater does not drain through <br />the dumpsters and enter storm drains or infiltrate the soil per Condition 5 on page 39. <br />On sites containing hazardous materials, procedures to use in case of spills must be <br />posted per Condition 6 on page 39. <br />All chemicals or products of a hazardous or toxic nature that may be used or stored on <br />the site must be stored under cover and isolated from the storm drainage system per <br />Condition 7 on page 39. <br />8 Illuminaticm of Parking .otc• Illumination of parking lots should be a minimum of 3-4 <br />foot-candles per Condition 1 on page 40. <br />Public Water �pplies: Based upon 122,500 sf of Type V-N, sprinklered <br />construction, ��ie fire flow requirement is 4,000 gpm. Public Works computer <br />analysis shows that 4,000 gpm is available at this site. <br />
