The City has a goal that 75% of new <br />landscaping in the Sub��rea be native, hybrid natives, or drought-tolerant. Landscape <br />plans should show an a�tempt io reach this goal unless landscaping with these species <br />will not meei the objeciive of ihe proposal (e.g.. golf driving range, ball fields, etcJ. <br />Plants with noted habitat or food value for wildlife should be selected wherever <br />possible. Invasive species shall not be planted. A list of native recommended species <br />is included in Appendix 3.4.6 of the SW Everett/Paine Pield Subarea Plan EIS. <br />Wherc: native, hybrid natives and/or drought-colerant species are planted, peimanent <br />irrigation syste.us shall not be required. Temporary irrigation must be provided for <br />two ye.�rs after planting. (SEPA Plant and Animal, Water and Public Services <br />Policies) <br />Exotic invasive species must be convolled. English ivy (Hedem helix) shall not be <br />plan��d in the Subarea. Propenies must be maintained to eliminate Scot's broom and <br />oth��r ��vasive species. (SEPA Plant and Animal and Land and Shoreline tise Policies) <br />All trash located in the Merrill an�i Ring Creek and its associated buffer must be <br />removed. Trash removal should occur on at least a semi-annual basis following <br />completion of construction. Developments with hazardous materials on-site, including fuel tanks, must comply with <br />all applicable local, state and rederal requirements. All developments using toxic or <br />hazardous materials must incorporate facilities and procedures for the safe handling and <br />effective monitoring of roxic or hazardous materials, which include sp�ll entrapment, <br />training, and special handling, thus reducing the potential for release of' hazardous or <br />toxic materials to the groundwater system. (See Section 3.6 of the EIS) (SEPA <br />Water, Plant and Animal, and Land and Shoreline Use Policies) <br />11. Staging arcas for vehicle maintenance activities during construction must be specified. <br />These areas must be well away from all drainage courses.
