Traffic
loads will primarily consist of semi tractor-trailer trucks and passenger vehicies.
If the above design criteria are incorrect ar change, we shouid be consulted to review the
recommendations contained in this report. In any case, ECI should be retained to perform
a general review of the finai design.
• r 1 7
0
The subject site is knawn as Seaway Trct 2, Lots 1 and 2 of the Intracorp Industriai
Park. The Iots are approximately rectangular shaped and are about fourteen (14) acres
in size. The site is bordered to the west by a steep ascending slope, to the north by a
stormwater detention faciliry and trucking operation to the south by light industrial
buiidings and to the east by Hardeson Road.
The west ascending slope has a gradient ranging fram less than 30 percent to near
vertical in localized areas. The overall slope gradient is abaut 50 to 100 percent (2H:1 V
to 1 H:1 V).
The slope is vegetated with alder and maple trees and a thick understory of brush.
The building areas are tevel to slightly undulating, with an overall slope down to the east.

The site was pre4iously used as a gravel mine. After completion of the mininy, the site
had an approximate level of about thirty (30) to forty (40) feet below the Ievel of
Hardeson Road. In the summer and fall of 1996, the site was filled with un to forry (40)
feet of structural fill. The fill consisted of siity sand with gravel from the Seaway Tract 1
develapment to the west and the Seaway Tract 3 deveiopment east of Hardeson Road.
The fill used to raise grades was placed in thin horizontal lifts which were compacted
using a large vibratory drum roller. Field densiry tests were conducted on the fiil in
accordance with ASTM D-2922, Nuciear Gauge Method. The results of our tests indicate
the fill was adequately compacted to 90 percent maximum dry density in accordance with
the Mudified Practor (ASTh1 D-1557).
Erh ComuKe. ne.
