This project would construct an on-ramp to southbound Interstate 5 south of the SR <br /> 526/527/I-5/South Broadway interchange, thereby eliminating significant traffic <br /> congestion from the interchange. Proposed funding: $ 6,000,000 <br /> Priority 6: I-5/Smith Island Interchange: <br /> This project would construct a full interchange on Smith Island at the existing 12th <br /> Street Overpass, providing access to industrial and recreational areas on Smith Island. <br /> Proposed Funding: $15,000,000 <br /> Priority 7: I-5 HOV lane extension to Marysville <br /> The project would construct HOV lanes from East Marine View Drive in Everett to <br /> SR 528 in Marysville. Funding proposed is for design and construction. Funding <br /> Proposed: $50,000,000 <br /> Priority 8: I-5/East Marine View Drive Interchange: <br /> This project would complete the existing interchange at East Marine View Drive with <br /> a southbound off-ramp and northbound on-ramp. This interchange improvement <br /> would be timed so as to be constructed at the same time as the extension of HOV lanes <br /> from East Marine View Drive to Marysville, due to the need to widen the bridge over <br /> the Snohomish River to accommodate both the HOV ramps and the new on-ramp and <br /> off-ramp: Funding Proposed: $35,000,000 <br /> TOTAL HSS PROJECTS: $302,700,000 <br /> Category B. HSS Approaches <br /> Priority 1: 112th St SW/Beverly Park Rd: SR 99 to SR 525 <br /> Snohomish County and City of Everett are partnering to widen 112th St SW to five- <br /> lane street with bike lanes, curb, gutter and sidewalk. The Boeing Company and TIB <br /> are funding partners on this project. Funding proposed is for construction. Estimated <br /> Cost: $45,640,000; Funding Proposed: $20,000,000 <br /> Priority 2: East Marine View Drive <br /> Widening of the East Marine View Drive truck freight corridor between I-5 and SR <br /> 529 to 5 lanes. This project would complete the improvement of the 5.5-mile corridor <br /> between I-5 and the Port of Everett/Navy base in which the City and funding partners <br /> have already invested$27 million. Funding proposed would complete construction on <br /> this project. Estimated Cost: $12 million; Funding Proposed: $8 million <br /> Priority 3: South Broadway Between 41st Street and SR 526 <br /> Widen South Broadway, between 41st Street and SR 526, from 2 lanes to 5 lanes with <br /> bike lanes and sidewalks. Estimated Cost: $25,000,000; Funding Proposed: <br /> $20,000,000 <br /> TOTAL HSS APPROACH PROJECTS: $48,000,000 <br /> 2 <br />
