5 <br /> 6. The first version of the survey base map will be submitted electronically to the City for review to <br /> determine conformance with City standards for sheet size, layout, layer conventions,etc. <br /> 7. Set additional temporary bench marks at each street intersection. Maximum distance between <br /> temporary benchmarks will be 500 feet in distance or 20 feet in elevation. Temporary benchmarks <br /> will be established at locations that have no likelihood of being disturbed during construction. <br /> 8. Show spot elevations on hard surfaces on a separate layer. <br /> 9. Show and identify all physical improvements, including traffic control and lane striping that is <br /> visible on the surface within right-of-way or easement lines. <br /> 10. Show invert elevations of storm drain pipes, sanitary sewers,catch basins and manholes. <br /> 11. Show property lines from GIS data provided by the City and field check street addresses. <br /> 12. Show topography lines at 1-foot intervals on roadways, easements, alleys and other areas where new <br /> combined sewers will be constructed. <br /> 13. Show control points with elevations and point numbers. Identify monuments based on field book <br /> number, page and number,per City Surveying and CAD Standards. <br /> 14. Survey cross-sections of the streets and alleys at approximate 50-foot intervals between right-of-way <br /> lines. In addition, provide survey points with elevations at all adjacent building finish floors, <br /> driveways, garage entries, sidewalks and other existing improvements that would need to be <br /> considered in design of surface stormwater runoff and pavement restoration. <br /> 15. Survey significant features within and adjacent to the right-of-way or easement, such as trees within <br /> cross-section limits, driveways, driveway aprons, walkways, retaining walls, etc. Show all known <br /> utilities including individual service lines,water meters, curb stops, water and gas valves, manholes, <br /> catch basins, power poles, buried power lines, etc. Survey painted utility locate marks, coordinate <br /> survey with utility locate personnel. Provide inverts of pipes for catch basins and manholes (lid <br /> elevations,all incoming/outgoing pipes). <br /> 16. Survey the pothole and pavement core locations(if any) for inclusion on the base maps. <br /> 17. Stake project baselines @ 50' stations. Use "PK" nails in asphalt and nails in gravel areas. Nails <br /> shall include"shiners"and paint marking. <br /> 18. Establish reference points for right-of-way and survey control monuments in the project area. Should <br /> any monuments be disturbed by the construction contractor,the construction contractor shall replace the <br /> monument including case and cover and the Contractor will re-mark the point and document the final <br /> survey monument data. The Contractor will obtain any necessary permits including the Department of <br /> Natural Resources(DNR)"Application for Permit to Remove or Destroy A Survey Monument" for any <br /> monument that is anticipated to be removed or destroyed during construction. <br /> City Responsibilities: <br /> 1. City crews to locate and surface mark all water service connections in advance of field surveys. <br /> 2.
