5 <br /> 1. Assist the City in responding to bidder's questions. Prepare addenda, if necessary, to clarify or <br /> correct contract documents or bidding instructions. <br /> 2. Conduct a pre-bid meeting (if necessary) for the project and provide support to the City for specific <br /> agenda items. <br /> Assumptions, City Responsibilities: <br /> 1. The City will take the lead in tasks associated with printing bid documents, document distribution, <br /> bid advertisement, addenda distribution, planholder administration, bid evaluation, bid tabulation etc. <br /> The project documents will be distributed electronically by online plan services. <br /> 2. The City will take the lead in receiving and answering bidders questions. <br /> 3. The City will provide 2 sets of reference documents to the Contractor for use during the bidding <br /> period. <br /> 4. The Contractors involvement is minimal. <br /> Task 9— Construction Support Services <br /> This task represents minimal involvement by the Contractor limited to incidental support and periodic <br /> collaboration with the City, construction contractor, etc. The following summarizes the subtasks that <br /> would be typical of each of the two projects: <br /> Contractor Responsibilities: <br /> 1. Meetings: Attend a pre-construction conference between City and construction contractor and invited <br /> agencies and utilities. The Contractor will be available to answer questions. Additional periodic <br /> meetings as needed. <br /> 2. Submittals: Review construction submittals, as directed by the City, for conformance with project <br /> documents. <br /> 3. Clarifications and Changes: The Contractor will assist with issuing clarifications to the construction <br /> contractor and producing design changes if necessary. <br /> 4. Field Observation: The Contractor will make field visits only as directed and authorized in advance <br /> by the City. <br /> 5. Public Involvement: The Contractor will provide assistance, information and other support only as <br /> directed and authorized in advance by the City. <br /> 6. As-built drawings: Prepare record drawings by CAD to indicate changes made during construction, <br /> based on notes and sketches of the construction contractor and inspector. <br /> 7. Resetting Survey Monuments: Reset City survey monuments destroyed during construction. <br /> Monuments were referenced and offset during design (see Task 2).
