EXHIBIT A-3 <br /> SCOPE OF WORK <br /> The following scope of work describes the activities to be completed by MWH Americas, Inc. <br /> (hereinafter referred to as "Engineer") and its subconsultants. <br /> I. Project Management, Meetings, and Quality Assurance/Quality Control <br /> Task 1. Project Management <br /> Manage the entire project scope of work for Tasks 1 through 14, including monitoring the <br /> schedule and budget, making staff assignments to maintain the project schedule, and general <br /> management and coordination of project staff as described below. <br /> A. General Management. The work includes general project management duties and <br /> coordination of staff assignments and other resources. <br /> B. Revise and submit an updated Project Management Plan. The existing Project <br /> Management Plan will be revised based on the proposed Phase 6 HDD project and will <br /> include the following: project team organization, team contact list, communication <br /> protocol, scope of work, budget, and schedule. <br /> C. The work will include development of a project design and construction schedule with <br /> product due dates, work schedules, milestone events and construction activities. The <br /> schedule will be produced using Microsoft Project (R4.0 or above) and will be submitted to <br /> the City of Everett in both print and electronic format at the 50%, 90% and 100% design <br /> level. <br /> D. Manage the project's subconsultants. This subtask includes preparing subconsultant <br /> agreements, coordination, schedules, and invoicing. Subconsultants will be used for: <br /> corrosion protection, environmental permitting and permitting studies, geotechnical <br /> engineering, HDD design engineering and surveying. <br /> E. Monthly Status Report/Invoice. Prepare and submit eight (8) monthly invoices and a brief <br /> monthly status report including: current project status, brief summary of work <br /> accomplished during the previous month, budget status, expenditures during the previous <br /> month, and issues to be resolved or coordinated with the City. Submit with each monthly <br /> report/invoice a summary of project costs per task and total cost to-date per task. <br /> Task 2. Meetings. <br /> Coordinate and conduct scheduled monthly meetings with City staff on design and permitting <br /> issues during the work of Tasks 1 through 14 from project initiation through completion of <br /> bidding. This task assumes that up to 8 meetings will be held with the initial kickoff meeting <br /> scheduled within two weeks after a notice to proceed is given by the City. Meetings will include <br /> attendance by Engineer staff and appropriate subconsultants, as identified below. It is assumed <br /> that half the meetings will be held at the City's offices and half will be held at the Engineer's <br /> offices. Meetings time for MWH, Zipper Zeman Associates, Inc.
