7 • <br /> EXHIBIT A-3 <br /> SCOPE OF WORK • ' <br /> G. Additional permanent or temporary construction/staging easement acquisition assistance, as <br /> requested by the City. <br /> H. Prequalification protest made by a potential I-IDD Contractor during the prequalification <br /> process. <br /> I. As requested by the City, provide any other additional services not specifically included in <br /> the scope of work above. <br /> J. If requested by the City, provide the following construction management services: <br /> K. Coordination with WSDOT on use of construction staging areas. <br /> Task 15. Construction Management Services <br /> A. Contract Administration. Provide the services of a Senior Resident Project Representative <br /> (up to half-time) to serve as the Construction Manager, and additional office engineer time <br /> to perform the following construction services: <br /> 1. Project Management. Manage in-house and Subconsultant work including setup of <br /> files, monitoring budgets, schedule, personnel assignments and processing of <br /> invoices. <br /> 2. Preconstruction Conference. Attend the preconstruction conference. <br /> 3. Shop Drawing Review and Processing. Receive, check for completeness, and log all <br /> shop drawings, material samples, and other submittals. Review these submittals for <br /> conformance to the intent of the contract documents. Compile written comments and <br /> return shop drawings to the Contractor upon completion of the review process. <br /> Maintain a shop drawing submittal file/tracking system to assure timely responses <br /> and minimize potential delays. Evaluate substitution(s) and 'or equal(s)' proposed by <br /> the Contractor during construction and provide recommendations to the City for final <br /> approval. Up to 15 engineer days of effort is budgeted. <br /> 4. Interpretation and Clarification of Contract Documents. Provide requested <br /> clarification and interpretation of the contract plans and specifications. Receive, log <br /> and provide written response to all formal Requests for Clarification (RFC's) <br /> received from the Contractor. Provide the City with copies of all RFC's and <br /> responses. Up to 12 engineer days of effort is budgeted. <br /> 5. Correspondence Tracking System. Maintain a correspondence tracking system.
