._., - GEOTECHNICAL ENGINEERING STUDY PROPOSED EAGLE HARDMARE STORE HEMITT AVENUE AND FULTON STREET EVERETT, MASHINGTON This report presents the findings and recommendations of our ' geotechnical engineering study for the site of the proposed Eagle Hardware Store in Everett, Washington. The general location of the site is illustrated on the Vicinity Map, Plete � 1 . We were provided with a Boundary Line Adjustment dated March 13 , 1992 , and an undated Topographic Su�vey. eoth of these plans were developed by Group Four , Inc. A photocopy of a proposed site plan from Lance Mueller and Associates wes also provided, eased on these plans and dis::us�io;is with Mike Ruhl , we anticipate that the building will consist of a two•� story concrete structure having a footprint of over 100 ,000 squere feet. We anticipate that portions of the building slab may be subjected to heavy rock loads or repetitive loads from forklifts. ' Development of the property is in the plenning stege, therefore, detailed plans Nere not made available to us. The plans provided to us located the property boundaries, the existing structures , and the tocation of the proposed store. Geotech Consultants , Inc, should be allowed to review the finel development plans to verify that the recommendations presented in this report are adequately addressed in the design. Such a plan review would be additional work beyond our current scope of work for this study, and may include revisions to our recommendations to eccomodete site, development, and geotechnical constraints thet become more evident during the review process . SITE CONDITIONS SURFACE The project site is a large, irregularly shaped property occupying an area of approximately 10 acres. Hewitt Avenue, Fulton Street, and Pacific Avenue border the north, east, and south property lines , respectively: Immediately west of the site is right-of-way owned bY Burlinoton Narthern Railroad . This is currently occupied with active railroad tracks . tit the time of field investigations , the property was developed , with 11 commercial and industrial buildings scattered about GEOTECH CONSULTANTS , INC.
