PREMISE IDENTIFICATION AND ALL REQUIRED FIRE DEPARTMENT <br /> ACCESS ROADS AND FIRE HYDRANTS MUST BE IN SERVICE PRIOR TO <br /> COMMENCEMENT OF CONSTRUCTION. <br /> 31. Fire safety pracuces during wnstrvction must be in compliance with the Uniform Eire <br /> Caie, 1985 Edition, Acticle 87, "Fire Safery During Construction." <br /> 32, Any security fence erected around the construction site must be located so as to not <br /> obstruct any ezisting hydrant, fire protection equipment, or Fire Depa�tment access. <br /> If Fire Department access is obstructed, gates or i rther opeuings must be provided for <br /> access. <br /> A specially designated azea will be required for washing of vehicles on site. The area <br /> L� must be hydrologically isolated from the rest of the site, be covered, and wash water <br /> from the area must dram to the sanitary sewer after being routed through a baftle-type <br /> oil/water separator designed tu city standards. Signs must be posted on the site lim�ting <br /> vehicle washing to the designated area only. In add�tion, a note stating that car <br /> washing is only permissible in the designated area must be included on the storm <br /> drainage plans. <br /> 34. All storm drains in the complez must be stenciled with substantially �olloy�isnpg y <br /> ►anguage: "Dump No Wacte, Drains to Wetland." This reminder is icall ra - <br /> painted on to the ground adjacent to the catch basin with the use of a stencil. 'The <br /> treatment needs to be repeated, approximately annualty, when the paint wears off. The <br /> developer/owner may either perform the scencilmg, or g�ve permission for volunteer <br /> groups to enter onto the property and perforrt►the stencilmg. <br /> 35. Dumpsters over 1.5 cubic yards capacity must be located a minimum of 5 feet from the <br /> building (UFC 11.302(b), 1991 Ed�uon) <br /> 36. The Washington State Clean Air Act requires the use af all known, available, and <br /> reasonable means of controlling air polluuon, inclucling dust. Dust generatrd during <br /> construction acdvides can be controlled by wetting those dust sources such as areas of <br /> exposed soils, washing wck wheels before they leave the site, and installing and <br /> maintaining gravel construction envances. Construcdon vetticle track-out is also a <br /> major dust source. Any evidence of track-out can trigger violations and fines from the <br /> Department of Ecology or the Puget Sound A'v Pollution Control Agency. <br /> GENERAL INFORMATION <br /> 1. The Police Depaztmen't i�as the following securiry recommendations: <br /> a. Lighting of the pazking lot should be a minimum of 3-4 foot candles. <br /> b. A monitored Fire and intrusion al�sm system zoned for each entiry should be <br /> provided. Remote panic buttons. and/or foot trip if using customer counter in <br /> the event of armed robbery. <br /> c. If offices will be handling cash, an accual money safe should be i�u�talled (for <br /> next day receipts only): Seism�c detectors and passive infrared aL•um sensors <br /> should also be installed m the ra�m. <br /> 10 <br />
